Birds in the Bush

Over at Lost Coast the challenge is on - Hip to be Square.  I am sharing the second card I made, not using the square stamps this time, but cutting out the images into squares. Then mounted on a square - then onto a square card.

Using the Mini Bird set 1 - I coloured each of them - then covered the image with glossy accents. Distressed the edges a bit. Mounted them onto a scalloped square.

Be sure to join in and also - check out my other team mates creations at Lost Coast Designs !!!!

Always the Fool

Over at Lost coast it is Hip to be Square !!!  Using the square stamps from Carmens Vernada I made the following card using the Jester stamp and the Calligraphy stamp.

The background was done by scoring about every inch both ways.  Then I used some green in to colour in the tips.  Makes for a very cool background.  (here is an example of template)

The jester image - (a professional joker or “fool” at a medieval court, typically wearing a cap with bells on it) I coloured with my pens - then covered the image with glossy accents.  Stressed all the edges of the image and the layers under.

Using the Calligraphy stamp I added to each corner then a couple of swirls to finish it off.

Check out all the other Design Team creations over the next several days !  you will luv it !!!!

Water Colour background....

Over at Lost Coast Designs I am sharing my make using nuance for the background of the Fathers day card I made for my daughter to use.  Luv'in the nuance - just a little bit goes a long way - and the outcome is fab!!!!

Using the Phrenology Head,( I changed up the words a bit ), and I also looked up in the Dictionary a few different words for father.  Using those made the banner on my computer.

Layering everything - thought putting the head onto the circle highlighted it better.

what if.....

Hey Everyone - thanks for visiting !!!  Would like to share a postcard I made using Birch Plywood I purchased at the craft store!!!   Was so much fun to make !!

Cut the card 4 x 6 inches - same size as a postcard.  Using my jagged scissors I did the two long sides.  The same colour I used on the bike was sponged onto the edges of the card.  BTW the wood cuts very nicely.

Using my Bird on a Bike stamp from Lost Coast (I luv this stamp ) and you may recognize this stamp from previous cards I have made.   Stamped it three times without re-inking to give that faded look. and used Staz on Ink.

Because this is a postcard - all has to be flat.  Put some stickles on the wheels (gyrl has to have some sparkle in her life) which dries flat.

Luv this so much I made a few - and promptly mailed one off to my daughter lol...

Stop by Lost Coast Designs and see what challenges are there to enter !  Maybe you could win some rubber.

For those of you who don't know what an ATC is - it is an Artist Trading Card.  They are bits of art no bigger than 2 1/2 inches by
3 1/2 inches.

Doing these ATC swaps is what got me hooked on stamping wwwaaaayy back when. I have a couple of books full of ATC's from all around the world.

Today I am sharing a couple I made with Lost Coast using the Flying Ballerina stamp (which I just LUV )

The first one I did in black and white - also using the Perspective Floor stamp for the background.  I masked the ballerina first then stamped the background.  Using a bit of bling to look like sparkles coming from her hands.

The next one I fussy cut her out then added extra wings to pop out...using the heart to look like she is holding a balloon.

Peace on Earth

Come join us at Lost Coast for Christmas in July.   My make was using the Mary and Angel stamp.  What will you make and enter to the challenge !!!!

I embossed white onto black cardstock...then I did one with Gold.
cutting out the center image and layered on top of the black and white. BUT before I did that - I glued micro beads all around the edging of the gold image.

Also wanted a touch of colour so added the red while layering.

Layered onto black and white paper - I used ultra thick embossing gold to do the edges.

Inside the card I used the Peace stamp from Lost Coast dictionary stamp.

Do come over and check it out - get some inspiration to get a head start on your cards this year !!!! And Best of all - play and win
with Lost Coast Christmas in July !!

Skellie pillow box

Hello my crafty friends !!  Today I am sharing my second project I made for Lost Coast Designs Skellie Fest -

This one I made a pillow box !!!

Using the Persian Skull stamp - embossed it onto a book page - then the fun thing was using my Nuance powders for the background colour!                   What a blast those are to use !!!

This was very easy to put is a picture of the back.  Just wrapped my design paper around the box.  Slid the ribbon underneath.

And of course it opens to put what ever goodies you want in there.

Skellie Fest !!!

Over at Lost Coast Design we are having our annual 'Skellie Fest'...

For this my share is a tag I made with the skull crown stamp...

But first of all - I put gesso all over the tag - layered on some printed b/w tissue paper.  Also spritzed it with some orange shimmer mist.  (can't really see it but it is there).  Used a bit of Distress Black Soot ink on the edges of the tag.

With the stamp - I embossed the wings black and the face copper. Did another set of wings with the tips done with gold embossing and layered underneath.  Rather than using the stamped crown I put a metal one on.

I also used the Raven with tree branches stamp for the bottom with its face and claw.

Added a few bits like the key / ribbon / and feathers.

Hope you like my share - pop over to LCD to check out others !!

Lost Coast Half - o - May

last day for Half - o - ween at Lost Coast

Well sort of like Christmas in July - Lost Coast is having Halloween in May !!!  Halfway to the trick and treaters !!!!

Today I used Carmen Verandas stamp - Monkey Face - thought giving him the red eyes would make him look scarier !!!

Sponged my inks onto the card stock while masking off the corner to make the full moon.

Of course all the bats flying around his head is making him angry and he will get his flying monkeys out if he has to !!!

Check out Lost Coast blog at...

Half - o - ween in May !!!

Whoo Hoo  - my first scheduled project with the Lost Coast Team !!
For this Challenge I used my Anthropomorph Owl.

Using some inks for the background swish - and keeping the colours traditional.....

Wanted the design fairly simple.  I embossed the owl and cut him out to layer onto my background along with the witches hat.

The Happy Halloween Stamp on the ribbon almost looks ghostlike.....

Put them together with some black and white cardstock.  The front I used, ATC size design layered on....

This is what it looks like from the top down.....

So besides the Paris ones I did this one too....

In the end, yes, I did mail out the Paris cards to the gyrls !!!

Sort of Steampunkish.....

My daughter had requested a card for a friend of hers who is in the film yes....had to be filmish for a guy.

So I thought of using some of my Stampsmith stamps with old film stars....but then I remembered I had some Film Ribbon from Tim Holtz...ahahhhhh what should I do.

Well this is what I came up with.

So a little bit steampunk along with the film strips.  Thought the saying was fitting - and that stamp is from 'just for fun'.

here is a view from the side.

Think it turned out alright !!!

Thanks for visiting TTFN.....
